2

Download the latest version of Y2M

32 bit

64 bit

Unzip the file and you will find a folder “YAMJ_To_Mede8er_2.0.0_Shizzl_yamj-2.6-SNAPSHOT-r2943_32bit_18Feb2012” or "YAMJ_To_Mede8er_2.0.0_Shizzl_yamj-2.6-SNAPSHOT-r2943_64bit_18Feb2012"

3

Open the Folder in 'Point 2' and copy the folder “YAMJ_To_Mede8er_2.0.0_Shizzl_yamj-2.6-SNAPSHOT-r2943_32bit_18Feb2012” or "YAMJ_To_Mede8er_2.0.0_Shizzl_yamj-2.6-SNAPSHOT-r2943_64bit_18Feb2012"

with all its contents to your C drive.

4

Open folder “YAMJ_To_Mede8er_2.0.0_4Feb2012" and locate the file “YAMJ_To_Mede8er_2.0.0.exe” and create a shortcut to your desktop

5 Prepare your Movie Library
5.1 The Movie Library can be on the Mede8er’s internal HDD or a External USB Device or your PC or a Network Location.
5.2 Place each movie into its own folder.
5.3 Use the correct naming convention. Please visit the YAMJ Wiki for more detailed information.

For simplicity you can use the following naming movie.name_year.mkv  (the movie name should have a full stop separating each word)

example =  Anna.and.the.King_1990.mkv

  YAMJ does a good job of finding the correct content if you stick to the correct file naming convention. You may also consider using the NFO method on selective movies should they prove to be problematic.
6 NFO file (optional)
6.1 Place each movie in its own folder
6.2 Create .nfo files in folders that are required. To make a NFO file just save a .txt file with notepad and just rename the extension to .nfo. Use notepad to edit the nfo file.
6.3 Look up the movie details and address on IMDB.
http://www.imdb.com and copy the IMDB page address into the NFO file.
6.4 Save the .NFO file into the movie folder
6.5 Rename the .NFO file to the same name as the movie file.
6.6 Repeat above for each movie in your collection.

7

Open Y2M

7.1 Select YAMJ settings tab and a Setup dialogue window will open
7.2 Set the path to the YAMJ program folder
7.3 Set the path of the folder that you require to scan (ie Downloads Complete)
7.4 Make a new folder (on your mede8er or PC or USB Drive or Network) and name it YAMJ (You can name this folder whatever you like) Y2M will create the Jukebox inside this folder
7.5 Once completed select the “Done” tab

7.6 If Y2M finds a empty YAMJ folder (ie Jukebox) a dialogue screen will open asking you if you want to run YAMJ now or at a later time.

7.7 Select “yes” and YAMJ will start the scraping process

7.8 The scraping time will depend on the quantity of movies in the MOVIE COLLECTION folder and your internet line speed. Y2M will continually display the progress of the scraping process in the “Running YAMJ” window.
7.9 Once completed select the “Done” tab

7.10 Select a movie on the Titles panel and the end result will be shown in the Preview window. You can select each movie one by one to check the scraping result.
7.11 If you are not satisfied with the scraping result of any movie we suggest you check that the movie was correctly named and you can also add a nfo file into that particular movie folder. Once done you can select “Run YAMJ” and YAMJ will re scan the movie folders that have changed.
7.12 To process the images you can check all titles or individual titles and select the “RUN YAMJ TO MEDE8ER” Tab. Y2M will now copy all the images into the correct folders automatically.
7.13 The process is now completed.
7.14 You can open the individual movie folders to check the xml or cover art. Just click on the 'Loc' column to the right of the movie you want to check.

8 To change the Language of the movie plots
8.1 In the YamJ folder, there is a file called moviejukebox-Mede8er.properties. Open this file with Notepad and add the following lines:
plugin.plot.maxlength=350 (change this size to change length of plot)
mjb.internet.plugin=A
thetvdb.language=B
8.2 Replace A by the desired Property line you can find here:
http://code.google.com/p/moviejukebox/wiki/Plugins
8.3 Replace B by the desired code that you can also find here:
http://code.google.com/p/moviejukebox/wiki/Plugins
8.4 Now save the file and exit. Wipe your Jukebox folder completely, or at least all the .xml files
Now re-run Y2M again and enjoy your local language plots.
8.5

Example for Dutch movie plots:

plugin.plot.maxlength=350
mjb.internet.plugin=com.moviejukebox.plugin.MovieMeterPlugin
thetvdb.language=nl

The maxlength param is to prevent icons moving to bottom of the screen when plot is too long
